Apply in confidence →We are running a partner-level search, handled confidentially. The mandate is reviewed on a rolling basis with the client, and the detail below reflects the current brief.
Partner opportunity for an experienced patent litigator to lead and expand contentious IP work in Germany. The role focuses on German patent litigation and representation before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), handling high-value infringement and validity disputes.
The practice currently lacks a dedicated German patent partner (existing coverage is focused on trademarks and copyright), so the new hire will take ownership of patent litigation matters, supervise local teams, and build market presence.
- Proven track record in German patent litigation and UPC proceedings
- Admission or strong ability to practise in Germany; fluent in German and English
- Significant courtroom and case-management experience, with ability to lead complex cross-border disputes
- Demonstrable business development capability and client relationship management
- Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
If the fit is not obvious on paper, it is still worth a conversation — these mandates flex around the right practice.
