Patent Prosecution Associate — Intellectual Property

National law firm seeks a junior to mid-level Patent Prosecution Associate to join its IP group. The role is open in multiple U.S. offices, including Washington, D.C., New York, and Los Angeles.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of patent prosecution experience (USPTO or law firm), a technical background in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or related fields), and strong drafting and analytical skills. Prior experience as a patent examiner and PTO registration are strongly preferred.

• 1–3 years of patent prosecution experience (USPTO or law firm)
• Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline
• Juris doctorate from an accredited law school; admission to and good standing with the relevant state bar
• PTO registration and/or prior patent examiner experience preferred
• Excellent writing, analytical skills, and academic credentials
• Willingness to provide cover letter and relevant transcripts as part of the application
