Experienced business-law lawyer wanted to join a national practice support team based in Toronto. This newly created, hybrid-role will support Business Law lawyers and trainees by developing model precedents, annotated drafting guides, and training materials for use across offices.

The role combines precedent drafting and maintenance, technical legal research and updates, deal-terms monitoring, and close collaboration with knowledge, legal-solutions and professional-development teams to build AI-enabled workflows, clause banks and learning modules.

The position will liaise with practice and industry leaders to produce client-facing thought leadership and will act as a technical quality-control resource for associates and students, providing detailed drafting feedback on live matters.

Salary range (Toronto): $130,000–$190,000 annually.

LL.B. or J.D.; active membership in the Law Society of Ontario required (Québec bar an asset).
5–8 years' Business Law experience at a large, full-service firm, ideally with Private M&A, Public M&A and/or Capital Markets exposure.
Proven drafting skills and experience developing or updating precedents and practice guides.
Comfort with legal technology and AI tools; experience in knowledge management and training delivery preferred.
Strong written and oral communication and relationship-building skills; bilingual (English/French) an asset.
