An award‑winning pensions team is seeking a Principal Associate to join its London office. The team acts for trustees, sponsoring employers, insurers, regulators and other industry participants on high‑value and routine pension matters and operates as a single UK pensions unit across two offices.

The role covers a broad range of pensions work including day‑to‑day trustee and sponsor advice, preparation of benefit specifications and discretions, risk transfer and bulk purchase annuity work, documentation for scheme events (mergers, wind ups, liability reduction exercises), interpretation issues, and investment/outsourcing arrangements. There is an expectation to contribute to business development and profile‑raising as a senior member of the team.

  • Qualified solicitor with circa 6+ years' PQE in pensions law.
  • Significant experience advising trustees and sponsors, including leading or supporting pensions risk transfer/bulk purchase annuity work.
  • Proven track record supervising junior lawyers and delivering client projects.
  • Strong drafting, technical knowledge of pensions legislation and commercial awareness; experience in business development and presenting technical material.
