Private Companies Associate Attorney – Corporate – San Diego

An elite corporate practice is seeking a 3rd–6th year associate to join its private companies team in San Diego, advising disruptive, venture-backed companies and the investors who fund them.

The role centers on counseling early-stage and growth-stage companies through their full growth cycle, including venture capital financings and liquidity events. You will work with a thriving team serving some of the most prominent high-growth companies and their investors.

Beyond client work, associates have the opportunity to help build and run a practice, participate in speaking engagements, and contribute to the strategic development of the private companies platform.

• At least three full years of substantial experience with early-stage and growth-stage private companies
• Deep experience counseling venture-backed companies on general corporate matters across the growth cycle, including venture capital financings and liquidity events
• Prior experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm
• Strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school
• 3rd–6th year associate level
