Growing national real estate team seeks a transactional associate to join its Chicago office. The role focuses on general commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures and real estate financings for institutional and corporate clients.

You will work on deal execution from diligence through closing, draft and negotiate transaction documents, conduct legal research and provide substantive advice to internal teams and external clients. The position involves regular collaboration across practice groups and participation in client calls, closings and other high‑level matters.

The team supports professional development through hands‑on responsibility, mentorship and firm training programs. The role is offered on a hybrid schedule with regular in‑office presence.

Juris Doctor (JD) and active admission to the Illinois bar
3–5 years of PQE in commercial real estate transactions (purchase & sale, joint ventures, and/or real estate finance)
Experience at a large or mid‑sized law firm with transferable transactional skills
Strong drafting, research and negotiation skills; excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to manage deals, work collaboratively across teams, and maintain client relationships
