Apply in confidence →Established Compensation & Benefits team seeks a Senior Associate to advise on tax-qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans. The role focuses on ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, and related regulatory matters.
Responsibilities include drafting plan documents and participant disclosures, handling compliance testing, preparing IRS and DOL filings, managing audits and correction matters, and advising on benefit plan issues arising in transactions such as M&A. Experience with ESOPs and plan-asset issues is a plus.
- Minimum 6 years of PQE advising on ERISA, qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans
- Experience drafting plan documents, disclosures and administrative materials
- Proven experience with compliance testing, IRS and Department of Labor filings, audits and corrections
- Strong legal writing, oral communication and analytical skills; excellent academic credentials
