Join a national contentious construction team as a Senior Associate based in Exeter. The role sits within a dedicated construction disputes group handling a broad range of UK construction matters for both private and public sector clients across major standard form contracts and bespoke arrangements.

You will work on adjudication, arbitration, mediation and litigation, with opportunities to support international matters. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in other UK offices and related practices, contributing to business development and training, and managing files in line with firm procedures.

Qualified solicitor with 8+ years' post-qualification experience in contentious construction
Proven experience of litigation, adjudication and arbitration (domestic or international)
Knowledge of standard construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and experience with complex/ high-value defect disputes
Understanding of the Building Safety Act and its sector implications
Demonstrable business development experience and client relationship skills
Experience managing and supervising junior lawyers, excellent time-management and file-handling in line with Lexcel-style procedures
Strong communication skills, collaborative approach and willingness to travel between offices as required
