Senior Associate – Pensions

The role

We are seeking an experienced pensions lawyer (5+ years' PQE) to join our national team. The role can be based in any of several UK offices to suit you, and you will work across our national practice on a varied caseload. You will integrate into a collaborative, inclusive team, providing supervision to more junior colleagues, and working alongside partners on key client matters.

Your responsibilities will include delivering ongoing advisory support, project work (including risk transfer projects), and drafting detailed deeds and other documents. You will manage your own workload, meet deadlines, and stay current with pensions law.

The team

Our highly regarded national pensions team (recognised as a leader in its regions) offers a specialist practice advising on a wide range of occupational pension schemes, both defined benefit and defined contribution, from small schemes to those with assets in excess of £2 billion. Our clients include pension scheme trustees, medium to large corporates, public bodies, SMEs, charities, and trade unions.

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent with at least 5 years' PQE in pensions law.
• Experience advising on day-to-day pension matters and complex one-off projects.
• Ability to manage your own caseload and advise clients directly.
• Strong drafting skills for deeds and other pension documents.
• Self-starter, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
• Up-to-date knowledge of pensions law and regulatory developments.
• Experience supervising junior team members.
