Apply in confidence →A market-leading U.S. structured finance and securitization practice is seeking a senior associate or counsel to join its trade finance group. The team represents banks, funds and other financial institutions across a broad range of structured finance transactions involving trade receivables, inventory and other trade-related assets.
The role is focused on lender-side private trade receivables securitization, supply-chain finance and trade receivables monetization, along with similar trade AR-related matters. Deals frequently carry cross-border features such as global trade A/R financings, off-balance-sheet structuring under GAAP and/or IFRS, intercreditor arrangements, trade credit insurance, and balance-sheet and/or ABCP funding. Capital markets exposure is welcome but not central to the position.
The team is collaborative and open to placing the lawyer in one of several major U.S. offices, with genuine experience weighed more heavily than class year or office location. Candidates should be U.S.-qualified lawyers practicing from the United States and should include a deal sheet with their application.
- 5+ years of structured finance and securitization experience (senior associate or counsel level)
- Preferably focused on lender-side private trade receivables securitization, supply-chain finance, or trade receivables monetization
- Familiarity with cross-border financings, off-balance-sheet structuring, intercreditor arrangements and/or ABCP funding helpful
- Capital markets experience a plus but not required
- U.S.-qualified and practicing from the U.S.; deal sheet required with application
