An opportunity has arisen to join a highly regarded, nationally recognised clinical risk practice, handling a challenging and fulfilling caseload of defendant clinical negligence work. The team acts for a broad range of clients across the healthcare sector, including NHS bodies, medical defence organisations, independent healthcare providers and medical malpractice insurers.

The role involves managing a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims from start to finish, drafting legal documents, conducting face-to-face negotiations and mediations, and preparing cases to court deadlines. You will act as first and primary point of contact for clients, providing commercially focused legal advice and working within their protocols and processes.

Experience in clinical negligence, personal injury, civil litigation or insurance law.
Experience at an NHS Resolution or medical defence organisation panel firm is desirable but not essential.
Strong technical and organisational skills, with a pragmatic and methodical approach to handling multiple claims simultaneously through IT case management systems.
A demonstrable commercial perspective rather than an academic approach, with a strong client focus.
Team-oriented and collegiate, with a willingness to mentor, coach and supervise less experienced colleagues.
