Join a national law firm’s Newcastle Public Law & Human Rights team handling health and welfare matters in the Court of Protection. The role focuses on representing vulnerable adults and their families in matters such as deprivation of liberty challenges, best‑interests applications and capacity disputes.

You will support a dedicated Health & Welfare caseload, work closely with experienced colleagues, and gain exposure to meaningful, directory‑recognised work in Court of Protection practice. The team offers hybrid working options and a supportive, inclusive culture.

  • Qualified solicitor (NQ–4 years' post‑qualification experience desirable)
  • Experience or interest in Court of Protection health & welfare work, mental capacity matters and deprivation of liberty challenges
  • Proven ability to work with vulnerable adults and their families with sensitivity and strong client‑care skills
  • Good drafting and advocacy skills; ability to manage a caseload and work with multi‑disciplinary stakeholders
