An Am Law 100 full-service firm is seeking an Appellate / Trial Support Associate Attorney to join its national Appellate Practice in its Miami office. The group handles civil appeals and extraordinary relief proceedings in federal and state courts across the country, including the Supreme Court of the United States, and includes several board-certified appellate specialists.

The practice covers a broad range of subject areas, including class action and mass tort, commercial litigation, construction, elder law, employment, healthcare, insurance coverage and bad faith, products liability, intellectual property, and toxic torts/environmental litigation, among others.

The successful candidate will evaluate trial records, draft effective briefs, analyze and frame factual and legal issues through the lens of the applicable standard of review, conduct legal research, and present oral argument. Competitive compensation and a full benefits package are offered.

At least 2 to 15 years of appellate experience
Working knowledge of state and federal civil and appellate procedure
Excellent advocacy and legal writing skills
Admission to the Florida Bar required
Experience evaluating trial records, drafting briefs, framing issues on appeal, conducting legal research, and presenting oral argument
