Apply in confidence →Tax team seeking a junior associate to support a growing renewable energy and energy transition practice across US offices. The role focuses on tax aspects of project development and financing, including tax equity transactions, tax credit transfers, and qualification for federal incentives under recent legislation.
Day-to-day work includes negotiating and drafting tax provisions in partnership agreements, purchase and credit documents, and project contracts; preparing tax memoranda and opinions; and coordinating with development, finance and regulatory teams. Candidates will work closely with partners and cross-office teams on complex, fast-moving transactions.
- 2+ years of domestic tax experience with exposure to renewable energy tax credits and tax equity or tax credit transfer transactions
- Experience with partnership tax and familiarity with M&A or project finance matters preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills; ability to explain complex tax issues clearly
- Organised, pragmatic, able to manage multiple matters and meet tight deadlines
- Bar admission in good standing; fluent in English
