Compensation & Benefits Associate — Employment & Labor (New York)

We're seeking an associate to join a US-focused compensation and benefits practice based in New York. The role involves advising on equity and executive compensation, proxy disclosure, employment and severance agreements, tax-qualified and nonqualified plans, and related issues arising in M&A and IPO transactions.

The team seeks a pragmatic, commercially minded lawyer with strong drafting, communication and analytical skills. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay; final compensation will be based on location, experience and skillset.

• 3-6 years' post-qualification experience in executive compensation and employee benefits.
• Experience with equity-based compensation, executive compensation arrangements and proxy disclosure.
• Familiarity with IRC Sections 280G and 409A, employment and severance agreements, and comp-related issues in M&A and IPOs.
• Excellent academic record, strong drafting and oral communication skills, and solid analytical ability.
