Top-tier US law firm is seeking a mid-level Compensation & Benefits Associate to join its New York team within the Compensation and Benefits practice. The role focuses on equity and executive compensation, employee benefits, and related transactional and disclosure work.

Typical matters include advising on equity-based compensation and executive arrangements, proxy disclosures, IRC Sections 280G and 409A issues, employment and severance agreements, and compensation aspects of M&A and IPO transactions. The team offers a full benefits package and generous parental and leave benefits.

The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000–$390,000, dependent on location and experience.

3–6 years post-qualification experience in compensation and benefits work, including equity and executive compensation
Experience with proxy disclosures, employment and severance agreements, and IRC Sections 280G and 409A
Experience on compensation issues in M&A and IPOs
Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, oral communication and analytical skills
