Experienced ERISA/compensation attorney sought for a busy Compensation & Benefits group in New York. The role focuses on tax‑qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans, covering ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, drafting plan documents and participant disclosures, and handling filings, audits and corrections.

The position also involves advising on benefit plan issues arising in mergers & acquisitions and other transactions. The team offers a full benefits package and competitive pay; the expected annual pay range for this role is $390,000+. Final offer depends on location, experience and skillset.

Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience advising on tax‑qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans (ERISA).
Practical experience with plan design, administration, drafting plan documents and disclosures, compliance testing, and IRS and Department of Labor filings/audits and correction matters.
Experience advising on benefit plan issues in M&A or other transactions; ESOP and plan‑asset experience a plus.
Strong written and oral communication, analytical skills, and excellent academic credentials; JD and active bar admission (or equivalent) required.
