Short-term consultancy role within a global law firm's consultant platform, focused on employment law. Assignments are typically six months or longer and involve high‑value advisory and litigation work for corporate and financial services clients, as well as internal firm-supported projects.

The role is suited to experienced employment lawyers who want control and variety in their careers while retaining access to firm training, knowledge resources and partner support. Consultants are expected to operate autonomously, integrate quickly into new teams and deliver pragmatic, commercially focused advice on areas such as contentious employment matters, restructurings, incentives and employment aspects of transactions.

  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in employment law, with experience at a top-tier law firm
  • Broad experience advising on employment litigation, workforce restructurings, performance management, investigations and employment aspects of M&A or HR projects
  • Practising certificate (or equivalent) entitling you to practise in the UK
  • Right to reside and work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Strong client-facing, communication and project-management skills; able to work independently and adapt quickly to new environments
