Opportunity for a qualified lawyer to join a global legal consulting platform focused on payments regulation and fintech. The role offers consultant assignments (typically six months+) supporting banks, fintechs and payments businesses on regulatory change, product launches and cross-border initiatives.

Typical matters include advice on payment services regulation (PSD), e-money, open banking, consumer credit and digital-asset regulatory issues, as well as commercial contracting and product support for payments architecture and geo-expansion projects.

The role is based in London and combines access to senior legal resources and firm-grade knowledge support with the flexibility of consultancy assignments.

  • Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience in payments, fintech or financial services regulatory work
  • Practical experience with payment services regulation (e.g. PSD), e-money, open banking, consumer credit, consumer duty or digital assets
  • Track record advising on commercial contracts, product development or regulatory change for banks, fintechs or payment service providers
  • Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and commercial judgment
  • Valid practising certificate (or equivalent) permitting practice as a lawyer in the UK and right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
