Short-term opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join a global consulting platform delivering interim legal assignments across the UAE. Assignments are typically six months, based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, with remote or hybrid options and visa sponsorship available.

The role focuses on drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts (supply, services, joint ventures, distribution, shareholder agreements), advising on regulatory and corporate matters, and supporting transactions and procurement across sectors such as energy, tech, logistics and defence.

Successful candidates will operate with a consultant mindset, taking ownership of assignments, liaising with multinational stakeholders and government authorities, and using commercial judgement to mitigate legal risk in a fast-moving UAE market.

5+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) with solid commercial contracts exposure
Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
Knowledge of UAE federal law, free zone regulations and how Sharia principles can affect commercial transactions (advantageous)
Experience with cross‑border transactions, M&A and regulatory/compliance issues
Practising certificate or equivalent entitlement to practise in the region; Arabic language skills advantageous
Consultant mindset: flexible, client‑facing, strong communicator and able to work independently
