Short-term (typ. 6 months), full-time legal consultant role based in the UAE focused on shipping and maritime matters. You will manage a broad range of maritime contracts across vessel sales, shipping services, crew management, concessions and port services.

The engagement suits a commercially minded maritime lawyer with 4–8 years’ post-qualification experience. The role favours candidates with top-tier shipping firm experience and/or recent in‑house maritime experience. Fluency in Arabic and prior Middle East experience are advantageous. A practising certificate (or equivalent) permitting practice in the region is required.

4–8 years' post-qualification experience in shipping / maritime law
Experience drafting and negotiating maritime contracts (vessel sales, chartering, crew, port services)
Background at a top-tier firm for shipping work and/or recent in-house maritime experience preferred
Prior Middle East experience and Arabic language skills advantageous
Valid practising certificate or equivalent entitling you to practise in the UAE / region
Consultant mindset: flexible, client-facing, able to work autonomously on fixed-term assignments
