A leading national law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated litigation associate with approximately five years of experience to join its Miami office. The role sits within a dynamic subrogation practice, with exposure to commercial litigation matters.

The associate will represent corporate clients in federal and state courts, handling civil actions against individuals and entities responsible for real property damage, personal property damage, and business losses. The position involves collaborating closely with a range of forensic experts to investigate and evaluate the legal and financial viability of various causes of action in both single-party and multi-party litigation.

Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs; preparing for and presenting at court hearings; taking and defending depositions; maintaining effective communication with clients and opposing counsel; and trying both bench and jury trials. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
Admission to the Florida bar
Minimum of five years of litigation experience, preferably involving product defect, property damage, construction, or property insurance claims
Experience working with forensic experts (e.g., fire origin and cause, mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, chemical, material, human factors, accounting, or standard of care) is highly desired
Proficiency in legal drafting, research, and oral argument
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel as needed
