Short-term consulting role for an experienced planning lawyer to support a major power infrastructure project. You will join a flexible legal-resourcing team delivering specialist lawyers to client projects and internal resourcing needs.

The role centres on progressing a Development Consent Order (DCO) under the Planning Act 2008. You will work with project managers, technical consultants and external stakeholders to draft and negotiate DCO applications, supporting statements and related agreements, and to manage planning, environmental and land risk.

  • Qualified in England & Wales as a planning lawyer with 5+ years' PQE.
  • Proven experience advising on DCO applications and nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs).
  • Strong knowledge of the Planning Act 2008 and related environmental and property law.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating DCO documentation and stakeholder agreements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, technical specialists and regulators.
