Tax Associate — Houston

Growing tax practice in a major US office seeks associates from law school class years 2019–2025 to join a transactional tax team. The group handles a broad range of tax matters across M&A, capital markets, energy and fund formation, and works closely with deal teams and clients on complex, often novel issues.

Ideal candidates will have class-year-appropriate technical tax knowledge, solid research and writing skills, and relevant transactional tax experience. The team values interpersonal ability and client-facing engagement, and associates are expected to participate in client work and public speaking opportunities, including industry conferences.

• Law school class years 2019–2025
• Relevant transactional tax experience (examples: strategic and private equity M&A, capital markets including spin-offs/IPOs, energy taxation, investment fund formation, or REIT/real estate tax)
• Strong tax research and writing skills and technical understanding of tax law
• Excellent oral communication, analytical ability, and top academic credentials
• Enthusiasm for client interaction and public speaking
